Rutlader Outpost is depicted as an Ole West Border Town on the border of Missouri and Kansas. Between the years of 1838 and 1845 a military road was constructed through the Indian Territory to connect Fort Leavenworth, Fort Scott (Kansas) Fort Gibson (Oklahoma). This was done to protect the western border of the United States which was the Missouri Kansas line. The old route has been replaced by Highway 69, and considered the Frontier Military Scenic Byway.
Our points of interest are: RV Park, RV Sales, Storage Units, Kansas Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Middle Creek State Fishing Lake, and Cowboy Church. The Middle Creek Theatre has closed back in 2013, Sorry! There are several business' that use their buildings as a warehouse or distribution site. The town of Louisburg is only 7 miles north of Rutlader Outpost and have places to eat, groceries, gasoline, public swimming pool and churches. You are only 30 minutes to the Kansas City area.
